Zafar was born in Haroonabad, presently working and living in Lahore. He has done his graduation in Painting from the University of Punjab College of Art and Design. He has participated in several local and international exhibitions. Some of the highlights from the past shows are: ICP International Creative Drawing Exchange Program at Gallery 172, DUFR INDA. Four host paintings at ‘Jubilee Gallery MEAM’ museum of Barcelona, Spain. He was also featured at events organized by the Swiss Embassy at PNCA Islamabad, and also got the position. His work was also displayed in the London Art Room Fair, Clifton Open Art Biennial, and in the collective exhibition ‘Long Distance’ in 2020. Worked as an assistant curator in the British Council (2022) project titled Virtual Museum. He has taught as a visiting faculty member (lecturer) at the University of Sargodha and is currently working as a lecturer at IAC Institute for art and culture Lahore, Pakistan. Currently, he is also working as a visual artist and Art Director in film and media.
