Fizza Saleem

Fizza Saleem is a multidisciplinary artist, researcher, and educator with nearly two decades of experience in teaching and community engagement. With a background in university teaching, Fizza taught at the Alliance Française in Karachi before establishing her own studio, which is a hub for painting through interdisciplinary learning and art history. Her work has been exhibited in various countries, including India, Sweden, the UAE, the UK, and Morocco. She recently presented her work, "Notes from a Conversation," as part of the "Anti-Colonial Maps" exhibition in Casablanca, a residency collaboration with Hic Rosa GCAS Jehan. This summer, she was invited as an advisor at the Esserie residency in Camporsevoli, Tuscany,y where she engaged in critical dialogue with 20 International artists. In addition, her experience as an artist-in-residence at the Lemon Tree House in Tuscany contributed to her research trajectory. Currently, Fizza is pursuing her thesis in the Art and Design program at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, Karachi.
