Ramsha Rubbani

Ramsha Rubbani is a Pakistan-based visual artist known for her ink-based drawings with an ambition to
change an independent view on contemporary art. Born in Lahore in 1994, she studied at the College of Art
and Design, Punjab University, Lahore, and earned an MA in Art and Design Studies from Beaconhouse National
University, Lahore. Rubbani's practice is meticulous in attention to detail, where she celebrates the idea of
mark making, either intuitive or through subconscious states, by deriving different elements from nature,
specifically highlighting the mother-child relationship through personal experiences. She published her first
article NEW FACES AT INDIAART FAIR 2017 at Vogue Today Online. She made her debut by participating in
a collateral event of Lahore Biennale 01. She partook in several group exhibitions nationally and
internationally, including Pakistan, India United Kingdom, Spain, and Germany. Rubbani currently lives and
teaches at NCA(National College of Arts), Lahore, Pakistan.
