
Sumaira Amin is a Lahore-based traditional miniature painter and art educationist. She graduated with honors in Miniature Painting from the National College of
Arts (2006 and later completed a Calligraphy diploma
2007) and an M.Phil. in Painting from Punjab University (2021). She is a faculty member in the Miniature Painting Degree Program at NCA and manages
preparatory courses for prospective art students.
Her work focuses on reviving Islamic heritage, culture, and traditions. She has led miniature painting workshops in Pakistan, Algeria, Italy, and the UK,
specializing in gilding techniques. Her work was added to the permanent collection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad (2024), and her fresco mural
painting was permanently installed in the Bhai Ram Singh Gallery at Punjab University (2022). Her art has been showcased at the National Museum of Algeria
(2009) and the National Museum of Oriental Art in Rome (2016), and was featured in UNESCO's The Lahore Fort Images in Miniature (2006).
