Najma Bukhari

Najma Bukhari, a visual artist from Sialkot, recently completed her Master's in Painting from the National College of Arts, Lahore. Influenced by 16th-century
Mughal miniature traditions, she merges traditional techniques with contemporary and conceptual styles. She has exhibited widely, including at the 2023 Mexico
Biennale, and has participated in international showcases across Pakistan, Russia, Italy, and Mexico. Recognized as a Master Artist in Fabriano in Acquarello
(Italy) and a participant in Moscow's World of High Watercolor festival, Bukhari's work explores the connections between past and present, using vintage
photographs to reinterpret history with honesty and depth. Currently based in Lahore, she continues to push artistic boundaries while preserving cultural
narratives.
