
Born in 1999, in the historic city of Lahore. Malika Batool is a visual artist focusing on human expressions. Obtained her bachelor's of fine arts in 22' from the
prestigious university of the Punjab College of art and Design. Her work can be seen on two levels: the first one is the starkly and achingly captivating soreness
of eyes and the other is a lushness of colors.
The artist's medium of choice is oil on canvas, and she cites Saeed Akhtar's teachings as a significant source of inspiration. In 2018, she was a student in
Akhtar's studio. She also got selected for an online exhibition in London Open Art Vision in 2022.
Malika's artwork has been exhibited at Alhamrah Art Council in 2019 and 2022, and Broadcast Vol.1 in O'Art space, in 2023. She was also a part of the Group show
“Water Lillies at Artscape gallery and a group show “Everything is going up upside down” curated by Usman Ahmed in Islamabad in 2023. Currently, Batool is
pursuing her Master in Visual Arts from the National College of Arts, Lahore.
