
Mahnoor Ahmed Tiwana is a Lahore-based visual artist who seeks to document her struggles in understanding the impact of traumatic experiences on the body
and the soul. Raised in a large creative family, Tiwana has pursued a lifelong interest in visual art, expressed through multiple mediums such as digital painting,
automotive airbrushing, and painting. She is a self-taught artist who discovered her passion for visual art through studying the works of renowned artists. She
has since gone on to study Mughal Miniature Painting under renowned Miniature Artist Prof. Bashir Ahmad.
A principal theme in Tiwana's work is the exploration of trauma and how it has affected her growth. With a keen interest in anatomy and design, her work
features distorted figures and desolate mindscapes.
Tiwana graduated from Beaconhouse National University, with a degree in Mass Communication in 2020. She started creating art full-time after working as a
graphic designer and illustrator. Tiwana is part of the graduating class of the Master of Visual Art program session 2024 at the National College of Arts, Lahore.
