The Ambassador is one of Nigeria’s outstanding artists. He is a prolific, versatile, and
multimedia/multidisciplinary artist. He possesses a free and uninhibited spirit that enables him to work
unrestricted in any medium or technique. His quest for better artistic expression is insatiable. He is a dedicated
Father, Husband, art teacher, studio practitioner, author, and motivational speaker. He is passionate about
doing art medicine interventions and research, learning arts in medicine /arts in health practice, and engaging
in daily Christian meditation. He is also an environmentalist. Kent is the founder of the Children of the World art
project, K’Style Creatives, and Project Kent Onah to nurture and promote young talents in different artistic
endeavors.
He has curated some exhibitions within and outside Nigeria. He has participated in over 52 group exhibitions
and 4 solo exhibitions. His works are collected in Nigeria, Africa, U.S.A, Mexico, Europe, and Korea.
He is a principal lecturer and the former Head of Painting Department, School of Art and Design, Auchi
Polytechnic, Edo State, Nigeria, since 1991 to date. Kent Onah possesses an MFA in Fine Art (Painting). Kent
is a master painter and member of the Society of Nigerian Artists, the Pan-African Circle of Artists where he is a fellow,
Association of Professional Creative Artists and Designers in Nigeria, Board member, Vision International Professional Art Association, New York, Fellow, Global Arts in Medicine fellowship, Atlantic Institute USA,
Member Fantapia International Art Group, South Korea. He is also a member of the Academy for Entrepreneurial
Studies.
Apart from his lecturing career, he has been engaged in active studio art practice since 1988 and art medicine
interventions since 2018 to date.
