

Amina Cheema is an Assistant Professor at the College of Art & Design, University of the Punjab, Lahore, where she has taught art history and experimental visual arts for over two decades. Her research centers on the materiality of rare manuscripts, Islamic historiography, and regional bookbinding traditions, forming the foundation of her research-led creative practice in experimental publishing and artist books. Her works have been exhibited at international art book fairs in Singapore, Dubai, India, and the USA, and her experimental book Kar Baat is part of the collection at the Thomas J. Watson Library at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. She is also a regular contributor to publications including The Nation, The News, The Friday Times, and ArtNow Pakistan.
