I did my post-graduation in painting from Punjab University in 2001. Immediately afterwards I moved to UK to do a further MFA in conceptual arts from Kent institute of Art and design .The course was intense and involved basing our practice on a different location for a period of time . I chose Australia as I was intrigued to study aboriginal art. I realised around this time what was crucial for my practice and invariably that as an artist I will always be interested in global, multicultural and contemporary subject matter.i had opportunity to travel extensively to far and wide locations, a passion I share with my husband, and that is perhaps evident in my paintings as well.
I had opportunity to participate in exhibitions both in Lahore when I was a student but afterwards in Uk as well . I had my my first solo in Southampton in 2009. The recent high light of my career was to receive honorable mention in Anna Molka awards 2021 for my painting "Anti-Social'’.
