Ujala Khan is an abstract artist hailing from Islamabad, Pakistan. She began her artistic journey as an exercise in expressive meditation. In this process, she developed her unique perspective and signature style, inspired by a vast array of sources ranging from Carl Jung’s Dream Symbolism to Arthur Rimbaud Une Saison en Enfer, and driven by her need to recognize, if not understand, the resonance in the chaos of things. Ujala Khan creates abstract expressionist works through bold strokes that tend to repeat creating an abstract composition. She prioritizes the formal aspects of painting; color and form that are evident in her works. Khan uses simplified forms from everyday life and reduces it to mere abstraction that comes together to produce a fluid composition.Ujala Khan has exhibited locally and internationally.
