Asavir Nadeem (born 1997) is a Lahore based art practitioner, with a background in theatre and literature. Through her mediums and creative process, she investigates disassociation across intimate and public spaces and the role of mark-making in relation to our personal and collective memories. She graduated with Honors in Bachelor's with her major as Miniature Painting and Minors in Photography, Animation and Art Curation from the National College of Arts, Lahore (2021). She also won a scholarship to the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program and won the Award for Best Contemporary Drawing and the Union Purchase Award at the Annual Jury Exhibition (2019). Her work was exhibited in the Annual Jury Exhibition, Lawton Gallery, Wisconsin, America (2019), Thesis Exhibit- National College of Arts, Lahore (2021), O Art Space (2021) in Broadcast I, The Lens and The Pen Exhibit at Tasweerghar (2021) and VM Art Gallery’s 17th Emerging Talent Exhibition (2022). Her work has also been published in Artmaze Magazine’s 23rd Issue and other local and international magazines. She is currently working as a Researcher and Project Manager for a few Artistic Projects.
