Ume Laila graduated from Punjab University College of Arts and Design, in 2016. She did her masters in Visual arts from National College of Art in 2020. Ume Laila is a multidisciplinary artist. She has participated in several group exhibitions and art residencies Karbath 01 and Taweer Ghar residency in 2018. She was part of the Imago Mundi project in Italy. She was part of two collateral shows Space and Karbathian 2020 of Lahore Biennale 2020. Ume Laila has also worked as a contributing artist with the Aleph review magazine by contributing her video Mukalma.
