Born in Lahore, Javaid Iqbal Mughal did his bachelors in fine arts from Punjab University College of Art and Design, Lahore. Later he graduated in MA with honors from NCA in 2018. His early career as a cinema board painter heavily influenced his art practice, evident through his color palette and compositions. In 2019, he was awarded third prize by Arjumand Painting Award competition in Islamabad by Gallery6. In 2021, he won the ADA award in the painting category.
